The role

You'll be our second legal hire, joining a small, senior team and working across both 0TO9 group-level matters and our growing portfolio of fintech ventures. The scope is deliberately broad: part group counsel, part embedded startup lawyer, part regulatory navigator for products that often don't fit neatly into existing frameworks, and increasingly, the person who shapes how we use AI to make all of it faster and smarter.

This isn't a role for someone who needs a rulebook. It's for someone who writes them.

What you'll do

• Own corporate and commercial legal work across the group: financing and loan documentation, commercial contracts, NDAs, and whatever comes next.

• Advise portfolio companies on regulatory matters specific to their product, licensing, consumer credit, AML/KYC, across Swedish and EU frameworks.

• Get involved early with new ventures: spotting regulatory requirements at the idea stage and finding pragmatic paths through them before they become blockers.

• Lead how we build AI into the legal function, contract review, compliance monitoring, template generation, working alongside our tech teams to automate what should be automated and keep humans in the loop where it matters.

• Build the templates, playbooks, and processes that let fast-moving teams operate safely at scale.

• Manage external counsel strategically, bringing in specialist input where it matters.

About you

You think in risk and trade-offs, not blanket no's. You're comfortable being the most senior legal voice in the room on a topic you've never seen before, and you know when to call in reinforcements. You're also genuinely curious about how AI is reshaping the legal function, and you want to be the one building that future rather than watching it happen.

Specifically, you bring:

• 5-10+ years of post-qualification experience.

• A background in banking or fintech, ideally in-house or in a regulated institution (bank, kreditmarknadsbolag, or equivalent).

• Solid footing across corporate, commercial, and financial regulatory matters.

• Hands-on curiosity about AI tools in a legal context, you've experimented, formed opinions, and want to go further.

• Fluency in English; Swedish is a real advantage.
