About the role
You'll run and continuously improve our First Line of Defense for financial crime, working closely with Compliance/MLRO (Second Line), Product, Data, and Operations. Think practical ownership: standing up processes, tuning systems, writing playbooks, and solving real cases. You're primarily responsible will be:

• Lead and own first-line AML, with a sharp focus on credit products and flows.

• Own day-to-day AML operations: KYC/KYB, CDD/EDD, sanctions & PEP screening, transaction monitoring, investigations, and case management.

• Design & iterate workflows with clear SLAs, QA checks, and crisp documentation/runbooks.

• Tune monitoring scenarios and risk scoring; track MI/KPIs and share insights with leadership.

• Prepare high-quality investigation packages/narratives for MLRO review and regulatory submissions.

• Partner with Product/Data/Engineering to automate onboarding, screening, and monitoring.

• Support and help shape AML frameworks as we expand into new markets, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.

• Train colleagues and champion an AML-first culture.

• Support audits, reviews, and regulator interactions as needed.

What you'll bring

• Solid experience in AML operations within a regulated fintech, with experience working with credits.

• Comfortable with a small but dynamic team to start - both strategic and very hands-on.

• Strong grasp of AML/CTF frameworks and first-line best practices.

• Familiarity with modern AML toolstacks (KYC/KYB, screening, TM, case management); data-driven mindset.

• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions or supporting international market expansion is a plus.

• Fluent in Swedish and English with strong communication skills.
